Beyond Gender as We Know It

Gabrielle Claiborne and Linda HerzerFounders of Transformation Journeys Worldwide

Join Gabrielle Claiborne and Linda Herzer for a 60-min, interactive lunch-n-learn on “Beyond Gender as we Knew It”. Gabrielle and Linda are co-founders of Transformation Journeys Worldwide, a transgender-focused inclusion training and consulting firm. In this interactive presentation, participants will:

  1. Experience the cultural assumptions about gender that impact people’s understanding of trans individuals.
  2. Learn critical trans and gender related terms, including various gender identities, through a friendly “gender bread” person diagram and various videos.
  3. Understand the distinction between LGB and T.
  4. Hear a little of Gabrielle’s personal story.
  5. Watch a 4-minute video of trans and a non-binary people of various ages and ethnicities sharing their experiences (including     2 trans children and their family members).
  6. Be equipped with tools to respectfully interact with trans individuals.
  7. Have opportunities for Q&A.

So, if you’ve ever had questions about trans & non-binary people but were too afraid to ask, or if you just want to learn how to feel comfortable and competent when interacting with your trans & non-binary co-workers, clients, friends or family members, join Gabrielle and Linda for a fun and engaging learning conversation!
